Insulin resistance

Insulin resistance, recently recognized as a strong predictor of disease in adults, has become the leading element of the metabolic syndrome and renewed as a focus of research. The condition exists when insulin levels are higher than expected relative to the level of glucose. Thus, insulin resistance is by definition tethered to hyperinsulinemia. ----------------------- Can be diagnosed with following questions: - huge portion sizes - fatigue after meal (PPIR) - need for sweet after meal - hangry - weight increase, not able to lose weight - blood test (both glucose AND insulin) (HOMA index < 0,8 - 1) - macronutrients in common meals - meal frequency - not able to postpone or skip meal - lots of skin tags - sober workout possible? - sober thinking possible?
