Hayflick limit


With every cell division, the telomeres shorten, which makes that at some point they cannot divide anymore. In general, cells can divide 40/60 times, but there are huge differences. Bones divide every 8/10 year Leukocytes divide every couple of hours Stomach cells divide every 2/3 days
